Every day, hundreds of millions of Apple customers around the world interact with our products. We drive the strategy and creative work that provide both new and existing customers with simple, engaging and inspiring marketing experiences. Marcom's Design team crafts design deliverables for every event to deliver the world's best aesthetic and visuals. We work closely with multiple groups across Apple and within Marcom to create engagement through visuals, introducing products and services to a global audience. We make the result beautiful, and the effort invisible. As part of the broader Design Team, Retail Design is responsible for crafting innovative and inspiring communications for Apple Retail. We partner with many internal groups, including Interactive, 3D Visual Merchandising, Retail Brand, Commercial Marketing, Digital Marketing, and Product Marketing to create campaigns that promote Retail's initiatives both in-store and online.

Description

An integral member of the creative team responsible for developing engaging retail communications across platforms, from in-store screen based creatives to digital media and online content. The role contributes to planning and art directing retail projects from ideation through delivery of production. Art Direct projects that demand both conceptual and functional thinking, and present them to teams and leadership effectively With a strong eye for art direction, define motion behaviors and develop a systematic and scalable approach to deliverables Dive deep into the details while also steering towards big picture objectives Provide direction, oversight, and leadership to project teams and responds swiftly to new information, opinions, and directions to pivot strategically

Minimum Qualifications

• 6+ years experience building brand identities and campaigns, with motion design at the core of your skillset.
• A portfolio exhibiting a thorough grasp of design principles, animation principles, motion theory, typography and visual communication.
• Experience with the following design/animation software: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), After Effects, Cinema 4D (or equivalent 3D tool).

Preferred Qualifications

• BA/BFA degree in Graphic Design, Motion Graphics, or other related discipline.
• Strong eye for art direction. Presents as capable defining motion behaviors and developing a systematic and scalable approach to deliverables.
• Experience with 3D Animation Software, such as Maya, Houdini and/or Nuke.
• Knowledge of AR/VR and generative tools, and how they connect to design implementation and production.
• Ability to drive workflows, communicating creative ideas and schedules across teams
• Resourceful and proactive in finding solutions with excellent communication skills
• Aptness to see around corners to ensure awareness of bigger problems and opportunities ahead
• Ability to cut through ambiguity and find the path forward, despite uncertainty or challenges
• Dynamic communication style, capable of real-time creative problem-solving in conversation and conveying a strong point of view for motion design solutions
• Outstanding conceptual design and design problem-solving skills

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,900 and $216,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
