ASIC Digital Synthesis Engineer

In this role, you will develop and operate front-end Synthesis flows, including STA, constraint management, Lint/CDC/RDC, front-end/back-end netlist handoff, formal checks, design optimization, etc.

• Design and develop RTL for high-speed SERDES including blocks such as calibration logic, equalization, adaptation, auto-negotiation, BER eye monitor, clock domain crossing, etc.
• Convert Architecture specification to Micro-architecture specification, implement logic functions in RTL using Verilog/System Verilog
• Test design using formal verification tools and functional verification environment
• Work with Pre/Post-silicon verification teams to test, debug and root-cause RTL simulation/Silicon/FPGA failures
• Pair with Architect, Modeling, Analog, Verification, P&R, and Firmware designers to ensure a smooth interface between Digital and Analog circuits, project execution, and SoC integration
• Write scripts to automate design tool flows as required to improve efficiency

Skills Required:

• Deep expertise in Synthesis, STA, Lint/CDC/RDC, formal checks
• Experience with multiple vendor's Synthesis tools a plus: Cadence/Synopsys, e.g.
• SERDES (Serializer/Deserializer) Design and RTL development experience
• Good knowledge of digital logic design, IP/SoC architecture, and microarchitecture
• Good knowledge of scripting using Python, TCL, UNIX shell, etc.
• Experience in high-speed FPGA RTL porting, IO mapping, synthesis, and timing closure is a plus
• The position requires good written & verbal communication skills as well as a strong commitment and ability to work in cross-functional and globally dispersed teams
• Ph.D., M.S./M.Tech, BS/BE (Electronics)
• Experience Required: 6+ years depending on the degree
