JOB Seattle City Light, a department of the City of Seattle, is one of the nation’s largest municipally owned utilities in terms of the number of customers served. The Generation Project Delivery team is hiring an Assistant Capital Project Coordinator (ACPC) to support our capital improvement work at City-owned hydroelectric facilities and associated infrastructure. This role focuses on core project coordination and support functions that increase the efficiency and consistency of the project management team.The ACPC will play a key role in organizing, tracking, and coordinating capital projects by taking on administrative and process-focused responsibilities across the portfolio. They will serve as the team’s point of contact for scheduling in Microsoft Project, manage and maintain SharePoint resources, and support the development of work processes, templates, and documentation standards. This position is ideal for someone with strong organizational, technical, and communication skills who is looking to grow in a dynamic, collaborative environment.This position reports to the Generation Capital Improvement Program Manager and will work closely with Capital Project Coordinators and cross-functional partners throughout the division and utility. Some travel to generation sites may be required on an infrequent basis. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Here is more about what you’ll be doing:·Serve as the primary point of contact for all MS Project scheduling, including developing and maintaining project schedules, performing resource leveling, and preparing schedule reports for the team and stakeholders.·Take ownership of SharePoint site administration: building, updating, and maintaining document repositories, project tracking tools, and team resources.·Support the development and maintenance of standardized templates for project management documents (charters, plans, status reports, meeting notes).·Help the team document and improve work processes and workflows to drive consistency across projects.·Assist senior project managers with contract administration, project tracking, and closeout activities as needed.·Coordinate project meetings and prepare minutes, action item lists, and follow-ups.
