Assistant Chef

Il Fornaio Cucina Italiana, with 18 successful restaurants in Southern CA, Northern CA, and Las Vegas, is hiring an experienced Assistant Chef to join our great team. Strong kitchen and dining room experience with attention to the details of our authentic Italian cuisine, recipes and execution is required. 2 years prior experience as a Senior Sous Chef, Assistant Chef, Head Chef and/or Executive Chef required.. Daily responsibilities include: • Food preparation and service for all meal periods • Recipe adherence with special attention to timely preparation and plate presentation • Training and supervising kitchen staff • Ensuring that quality and cost standards are consistently obtained • Completing kitchen administrative and human resource duties • Inventory, ordering and scheduling with service and cost control measures in place The Assistant Chef should have a positive attitude and be able to communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully. Experience in a full service fine dining upscale restaurant is a plus. Must have a flexible schedule and able to work varied shifts including weekends. Join our successful team today. Grazie!
