Assistant Controller - Non-Profit

Long-standing non-profit organization located in north Los Angeles is looking for an Assistant Controller. While overseeing a small team, the Assistant Controller will also be responsible for the day-to-day accounting functions of the organization. Duties for the Assistant Controller include overseeing month / quarter/ year-end closes, oversight of cash flow reporting and management, preparation of consolidated financial statements, payroll management, financial reporting, and ensuring efficient accounting processes (i.e., account reconciliation, G/L analysis, account analysis, etc.). The Assistant Controller will also play a key role in various audits, prepare budgets and regulatory compliance documents, prepare tax filings, as well as partake in business operations decisions (i.e., investments, revenue analysis, investor reporting, etc.). • Qualified candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. • Non-profit industry experience is required. • 7+ years of accounting experience. • At least two years of experience in a management capacity. • Must have strong GAAP/technical accounting knowledge. • Strong systems skills - including Excel. • Pay, $125 - 140k.
