Assistant Controller

About the job About the role Fagron is seeking a qualified professional to fill the role of Assistant Controller to join our Shared Services Finance team in Austin, TX. This role will support our Fagron Sterile Services business. Key responsibilities • Monitor cash flow and banking activities. • Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations. • Assist with Internal and External Audit requests. • Support inventory accounting processes including book to physical adjustments, inventory reserves and physical inventory audits or observations. • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial data is accurate and complete. • Provide support and guidance to junior members of the finance team. • Support sales tax filings and annual requests. • Evaluate capital projects and enter them in the Capex system to route for approval Basic Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field, minimum of 3-5 years of experience in finance senior roles. • Program management experience, including effective use of internal controls and providing stakeholders leadership. • ERP System expertise required; Microsoft Dynamics preferred. • Advance Excel skills required. • Solid team player with the ability to work independently in a confident, deliberate and productive manner. • Ability to research issues and arrive at logical well-documented analysis and conclusions. • Affective verbal and written communicator with both financial and non-financial individuals. Comfortable presenting to senior levels of the business.
