We are seeking Board Eligible or Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians for our Emergency Department as well as our site Assistant Medical Director – Emergency Medicine – Lake Charles, LA. We have both day/mid and nocturnist positions available. This is a full-time 1099 contracted position. Very competitive compensation package plus sign-on and relocation assistance.

About Lake Charles Memorial Hospital

Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, the main campus of the Memorial Health System, is the region’s largest family-centered medical complex, serving the healthcare needs of Southwest Louisiana. The main campus consists of 313 licensed acute care beds on Oak Park Boulevard. The hospital’s state-of-the-art, 15,102 sq. ft. Medical Intensive Care Unit opened in 2016 on the 9th Floor of the main campus. The existing 10,180 sq. ft., on the 3rd floor Surgical ICU will undergo renovations. Between these two units, Memorial has the largest critical care capacity in southwest Louisiana with a total of 36 beds.

The 40-bed Emergency Department is just under 26,000 sq. ft. and includes specialized treatment areas for critical care, mental health, and fast track non-critical care designed to improve the care process and reduce wait times. The emergency department sees approximately 60,000 patients per year and is supported by an outstanding team of APPs, nurses, and administrative staff
