Assistant Project Manager

About Us: Perennial Empire is a fast-scaling construction firm focused on affordable housing renovation and general contracting work across New York City. We’re mission-driven, detail-obsessed, and growing rapidly. Our projects are high-impact and high-visibility—and we’re looking for an APM who’s ready to grow with us. The Role: We’re hiring a strong Assistant Project Manager to join our team at a multi-phase hallway renovation project. You’ll work side-by-side with our Superintendent and Project Manager to keep production moving, materials flowing, and field crews aligned. This isn’t a clipboard role—it’s a launchpad. You’ll Be Responsible For: • Communicating updates with clients • Scheduling subcontractors • Assisting in the daily coordination of on-site work • Tracking project progress, scope changes, and job costs • Preparing material orders and ensuring timely delivery • Walking hallways and inspecting scopes with field leaders to ensure quality control • Supporting labor planning and forecasting • Managing change orders, punch lists, and scheduling What We’re Looking For: • 3–5 years of experience in construction project management or field operations • Strong written and verbal communication • Highly organized and proactive—able to push a job forward • Comfortable in the field and in front of clients • Excel and Google Sheets savvy • Spanish a plus • Someone who takes ownership and doesn’t wait to be told what to do Why Work With Us: You’ll be joining a lean, sharp, and purpose-driven team.
