The Assistant Project Manager supports the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, cand overseeing construction projects from inception to completion. The APM will assist in managing resources, schedules, budgets, and subcontractor activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards.Essential Duties
• Assist Project Manager in developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Communicate regularly with clients, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, building codes, and safety standards.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractor activities, schedules, and project milestones.
• Prepare and review project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes.
• Track project progress, identify potential risks, and proactively communicate challenges and solutions.
• Assist in procurement processes, material ordering, and managing deliveries.
• Participate in regular site meetings and inspections.
• Support compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
• Assist with project close-out, punch lists, warranty documentation, and final inspections.
• Additional duties may be assigned.Qualifications & Education
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in construction or engineering-related projects, preferably in a support or coordination role.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes.
• Proficiency in construction software such as Bluebeam and Procore.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interpret, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Familiarity with safety regulations, quality standards, and permitting processes is a plus.Physical Requirements
• Ability to walk job sites regularly and navigate varied construction environments.
• Must be able to lift and carry materials up to 30 pounds occasionally.
• Capable of working in various weather conditions and construction site environments.
*Many physical activities occur simultaneously.Working Environment
The Assistant Project Manager will primarily work in an office environment but will regularly visit construction sites. Construction sites may involve exposure to many types of hazards including but not limited to heavy machinery, power tools, loud noises, flying objects, debris, and extreme weather. Employees must always follow all company and industry safety standards and requirements while working in this environment. This includes the proper use of PPE at all times.

Salary
$35-$42 per hour
