Job Description
The University of Miami Health System, Miller School of Medicine is initiating a search for a
Hepatologist at the Assistant/Associate Professor of Medicine level.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Provide direct outpatient care to Hepatology patients primarily at the University of
Miami Hospital and Clinics
• Perform routine endoscopic services on Hepatology patients
• Provide inpatient care, on a rotating basis on an APP run Hepatology Service
• Participating in on call rotation
• Opportunities to initiate and participate in clinical research studies
• Teaching of residents and fellows
DESIRED QUALIFIATIONS:
• MD/DO Degree
• Internal Medicine residency
• BE/BC in Internal Medicine
• BE/BC in Gastroenterology
• BE/BC in Transplant Hepatology encouraged
• Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply (must have license prior to
credentialing)
• Must maintain CME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements
• Must have excellent clinical knowledge and experience to provide safe and quality care
to patients and meet institutional standards of care
