 The Vendor Accounting Operations team is responsible for processing, accounting, taxation and payments of invoices, travel and expense reimbursements and related payments for the management companies, related family office entities, and Point72 funds, in addition to the calculation and filing of indirect taxes across multiple global jurisdictions. As a part of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to grow professionally and build leadership skills to assume increased responsibilities in the department over time. 

What you’ll do

We’re looking for an associate to join our Vendor Accounting Operations team. In this role, you will be expected to handle complex processes proactively and independently and meet required deadlines across multiple projects and internal clients. Specifically, you will:

• Manage the vendor payments process, proactively resolve issues before they escalate, and research, analyze, and resolve complex payment and vendor issues and ensure payment failures are identified and resolved timely. Manage critical payments and their respective timelines.
• Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of systems, procedures, and policies
• Assist in the monthly close process by performing balance sheet reconciliations, identification and explanation of variances and preparation of journal entries
• Assist in the managing and processing of new suppliers and supplier changes in accordance with Firm policy
• Assist with the T&E process, audits, payments and questions
• Prepare global filing obligations within required deadlines and in compliance with specific jurisdiction rules, regulations and reporting requirements (e.g., Forms US 1099, 1042, HK IR56M and UK IR35)
• Prepare required information for internal and tax audits
• Assist in the preparation and development of various reports including those related to audits, compliance, and analysis
• Prepare cash flow projections and partner with FP&A and Corporate Accounting on managing cash flow actual data vs. forecasts
• Create and maintain tracking tools to monitor status of various processes
• Assist in managing VAO system workflows and in implementing tech innovation projects
• Effectively manage communications with internal and external stakeholders

What’s required: 

• 4+ years of finance and accounting experience
• Strong Excel skills with knowledge of VLOOKUP’s, sum ifs, and pivot tables
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Skillful problem solving, resourcefulness, and attention to detail
• Strong quantitative analytical skills, familiarity with data analysis and database tools
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
• Strong relationship and client service skills
• Self-motivated, self-reliant with a hands-on approach
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards
