Your Role and Responsibilities
As an IBM Consulting Associate you will work with the latest technologies and collaborate with team members to create real impact for our clients and the greater world. You will have the opportunity to bring innovative ideas forward put your transferable skills to work and develop and learn new skills that will support your career growth.

As an Associate Application Developer you will:

• Transform Client Businesses: Participate in consulting projects or initiatives and experience firsthand how we help transform our clients’ businesses
• Co-create Solutions: Work closely with clients to understand their industry challenges and goals and develop tailored solutions to help them achieve their objectives
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design develop and implement business solutions that drive business outcomes
• Develop Expertise: Develop technical and business expertise in technical domains and share this with colleagues and clients
• Stay Ahead of the Curve: Continuously learn and develop your skills and knowledge to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Education: Strong academic background and Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science Information Management Engineering and a passion for technology
• Early Professionals Welcome: 0-2 years of work experience with a strong desire to learn and grow
• Technical Skills:
  • Programming Languages: Familiarity with at least one front-end language (e.g. HTML CSS JavaScript) and familiarity with front-end frameworks like React Angular or Vue.js and one back-end language (e.g. Python Ruby Java C#)
  • Data Structures and Algorithms: Understanding of fundamental data structures (arrays linked lists stacks queues) and algorithms (sorting searching)
  • Databases: Basic understanding of relational databases (SQL) & NoSQL databases and how to interact with them
  • Development Lifecycle: Basic understanding of software development life cycles. Familiarity with agile development methodologies and testing frameworks
  • Version Control Systems: Familiarity with a version control system like Git
• Key Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills ability to analyze problems break them down and develop solutions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with experience in creating engaging presentations using PowerPoint and other tools and explain technical concepts
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel and data handling tools with the ability to analyze and manipulate data effectively
• + Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with colleagues clients and stakeholders
  • Soft skills including attention to detail time management adaptability and a willingness to learn new technologies frameworks and tools quickly
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a remote or in-person setting using a range of tools and platforms including JIRA Monday.com and Box.com
  • Fluency in English and Arabic with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
• Location and Eligibility: KSA national and eligible to work for 12 months starting September 2024.

• Experience with a Full-Stack Framework: Familiarity with a popular full-stack framework (e.g. Spring Boot Django Ruby on Rails) OR familiarity with mobile app development frameworks like React Native Flutter or Ionic can be a big plus
• Web Development Tools: Knowledge of web development tools like build tools and testing frameworks
• Databases: Familiarity with database management systems like MySQL MongoDB or PostgreSQL
• Containerization and orchestration: Experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration using Kubernetes
• Cloud-native application development: Familiarity with native application development using serverless architectures
• Cloud Platforms: Basic understanding of cloud platforms like AWS Azure or GCP
• API Integration: Experience integrating with APIs.

Professional Skills:

• Open-Source Contributions: Having contributions to open-source projects demonstrates initiative and coding experience
• Personal Projects: Building personal projects showcases passion for development and problem-solving skills
• Strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines.
