Associate, Consolidations

Role Description

Supports the execution of the monthly international and domestic close process, including general accounting functions, preparation of monthly financial statements, topside journal entries and account analysis. Responsible for the execution of all intercompany eliminations and top-side journal entries as part of consolidation.

Responsibilities:

• Perform consolidations and process eliminating journal entries.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly/quarterly financial statements and related disclosures.
• Prepare monthly Financial Package distributed to senior management.
• Process various non-recurring topside journal entries and other consolidation journal entries (i.e. investment in equity elimination, share based comp, etc.) in support of the monthly financial close.
• Preparation of various monthly/quarterly account analysis and rollforwards.
• Preparation of various footnotes and other SEC disclosures.
• Assist in the review and provide commentary for account fluctuations.
• Assist with documentation and testing of SOX controls.
• Provide support for ad hoc management requests from markets, finance, tax and treasury.
• Effectively use Hyperion suite of solutions (HFM and Essbase).

Qualifications (Training, Education & Prior Experience):

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA and/or MBA preferred

Experience

• Minimum 2 years experience in consolidations/financial reporting (internal or external) within a large multi-national company or public accounting (Big 4 preferred)
• Strong knowledge of accounting and financial systems/processes and controls
• Demonstrated proficiency in US GAAP
• Experience with FDM, HFM, Essbase, SAP a plus
