Associate, DevOps App Dev

Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. seeks an Associate, DevOps App Dev in New York, NY

Develop databases and applications that process data across all divisions and business lines. Perform SQL development, capacity planning, performance tuning, database maintenance and ETL pipelines. Deliver development projects for multiple business areas in parallel. Work closely with IT partners in analyzing and delivering on business requirements. Utilize agile methodology, which is based on kanban best practices. Design, enhance, and develop applications across different database environments. Build application DBA functions including plan and execute database schema changes, bottleneck analysis, outage prevention/resolution, server/database performance improvements, database maintenance, and database recovery.

Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $138,000 and $150,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements:

Requires a Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field of study and two (2) years of experience in the position offered or two (2) years as an Analyst, Integration Engineer, or a closely related occupation. Requires two (2) years of experience with: Oracle PL/SQL; Advanced PL/SQL; Performance tuning; Microsoft SQL Server; Relational databases; ETL; Erwin Data Modeler; Database design; Data warehouse modelling; SAP Crystal Reports; Python; Pandas; Eclipse IDE; Git, Bitbucket; Unix; Shell script; Atlassian Jira; SDLC; Agile. Requires one (1) year of experience with: Talend; Power Designer; Power BI; Informatica.
