I. Job Summary | Major goals and objectives.
Food & Wine and Travel + Leisure are seeking an Associate Director, Events & Brand Marketing specializing in the luxury market. The Associate Director, Events & Brand Marketing works closely with the VP Marketing and the Directors in the brand marketing department to manage brand events as well as answering RFPs as needed. This individual will have experience negotiating contracts, working with vendors such as venues, production companies, lighting and AV. ADE will work closely with the Art Director on creating collateral for events as well as selling materials to help answer RFPs. This position collaborates with senior marketers and designers to develop copy, comps, newsletters, sell sheets, advertorials and event collateral materials and develop new multi-sponsored marketing opportunities. The incumbent works with internal departments including brand marketing, digital, research, and other marketing departments as well as with external customers.
The position will report directly to the VP Marketing. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Manage and coordinate brand marketing events
  • Manage budgets from start to finish
  • Write program slides for the events & brand marketing programs as needed to answer client RFPs
  • Maintain strategic partnerships with outside partners
  • Manage program budgets
  • Proficiency with contracts and venue negotiations

  • Manage and coordinate brand events

  • RFPs for all event marketing requests as well as overflow within the department. Additionally, this individual will help with other added value marketing programs

  • Researches and develops new added-value opportunities, event partnerships and programs.

III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience.

Experience:
  • Minimum of seven (7) years related experience in the publishing or advertising or applicable field.
  • Must possess experience in creation and execution of marketing programs in a variety of categories.

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and follow-through skills.
  • Strong strategic thinking and resourcefulness required.
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast paced environment
  • Must have the ability to multitask, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends and travel when needed
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency with InDesign
  • Proficient knowledge of interactive and social media.

% Travel Required (Approximate) : 30-40% (depending on the schedule and staffing needs)

Pay Range
Salary: $96,000 - $120,000
The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
