I. Job Summary | Major goals and objectives.
Reporting into the Executive Director, Brand Marketing, the Associate Director, Brand Marketing plays a critical role in guiding, developing, and packaging innovative opportunities and products to PEOPLE and Entertainment Weekly's premium advertisers.
The Associate Director will work to develop multi-platform brand-led proposals, lead brand strategy initiatives, execute post-sale campaigns, and collaborate with editorial partners and other internal stakeholders to create a strategic point of difference that is consistently communicated through all marketing collateral (i.e. general sales and category presentations).
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, collaborative, self-motivated marketer with experience in delivering creative solutions and best-in-class ideas that connect with consumers, deliver results for advertisers, and drive revenue. This individual will have their finger on the pulse of consumer and marketplace trends shaping business and demonstrate the ability to identify and utilize those insights to create a narrative that clearly articulates PEOPLE & Entertainment Weekly's strengths and competitive advantage.
You will:
- Provide day-to-day support to the sales teams; developing decks to create accurate, imaginative advertising proposals that meet client objectives in a timely manner
- Work closely with various cross-functional teams to develop and execute custom programs, both digital and integrated with print
- Communicate directly with clients and agencies in regard to campaign details as needed
- Create and update marketing collateral for proposals and sales decks
- Research and report on industry and competitive trends
- Be an expert on brand positioning, content, new features
- Be an expert on Dotdash Meredith corporate and digital ad products and solutions

Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/professional experience is required
Experience:
- 6-8 years of integrated multi-platform marketing experience ranging from brand to sales marketing across digital, social, experiential, and print. Experience at an agency, media company or sales organization where candidate participated in multi-platform presentation development.
- Experience working across a number of brand categories ie beauty, style, retail, pharma, food, etc.
- Experience with MRI, qualitative and quantitative research
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to think strategically and integrate resources to help members of the sales team and their clients reach objectives
- Excellent verbal, creative/copy writing, presentation development expertise, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to translate advertiser needs into "sellable" programs that generate revenue
- Aptitude to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Proven ability to project-manage successfully
- Ability to articulate campaigns user experience across digital/social platforms, both verbally and written
- Proven ability to partner effectively with a Sales organization, senior team members and external parties
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills with solid attention to detail
- Ability to anticipate and accommodate needs, requests and issues
- Must be able to contribute ideas in a creative group atmosphere.
- Ability to generate creative concepts based across genres: Digital/Social, News, Sports, and Entertainment programming.
- Experience working within Google Workplace Suite, as well as proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Good analytical and research skills

Pay Range
Salary: $88,000 - $110,000
The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
