The Associate Director, Event Marketing will be responsible for working in partnership with the Entertainment titles to plan, manage and execute a wide range of brand and consumer events/activations.

5% - Review and negotiate contracts
5% - Conduct site visits
5% - Maintain LA event supply inventory

Education: Bachelor's Degree (communication, marketing or a related field is helpful but not required)
Experience: 5+ years of event experience

Pay Range
Salary: $92,000 - $115,000
The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives. The Associate Director, Event Marketing will be responsible for working in partnership with the Entertainment titles to plan, manage and execute a wide range of brand and consumer events/activations.
Responsibilities will include:
- Develop event timelines, budgets and project plans for events with a wide range of budgets
- Review and negotiate contracts
- Source and work with vendors and partners including production companies, audiovisual, venues, etc.
- Work with internal departments to coordinate various aspects of the events (creative services, sales, marketing, etc.)
- Manage sponsor activations at events from ideation to onsite install to post event recap
- Coordinate executive and client entertaining logistics and itinerary planning for special events
- Onsite event execution
- Conduct site visits and provide thorough analysis of venue's feasibility for an event
- Maintain LA event supply inventory

- Must have the ability to work under pressure and multitask, to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends and travel when needed to NY, Toronto, etc.
- Discretion and confidentiality as they relate to editorial content, partners and attendees
- Knowledgeable about latest venues and restaurants in the Los Angeles area and ideally other markets such as New York, Nashville and Toronto
- Entertainment events experience or experience working with entertainment brands and red carpet events
- Experience working with C-suite executives and talent
- Ability to work independently and manage projects without significant oversight
- Working knowledge of Google Suite applications
