Job Description Summary
BD's Controllership and Regional Finance team supports annual revenues of ~$20B, operating globally across 9 business units and four regions. The Controllership group is responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting of BDs operating results and is a key function within global finance for compliance. In addition, with recent expanded scope, Controllership plays a critical role in understanding our global footprint and the economics resulting from our operations; specifically, as it relates to cash and foreign exchange.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director to help develop and lead our intercompany sourcing and cash flow planning team at Becton, Dickinson, and Company. The Associate Director will be responsible for assisting in the design and implementation of processes supporting cash flow planning, partnering with regions and functions to drive optimization of our sourcing structure, and monitoring the effectiveness of the processes globally. The successful candidate will have a strong background in MedTech operations, accounting, supply chain manufacturing, and cross-functional collaboration. Additionally, they will possess a positive, can-do attitude while being comfortable with driving change and innovation.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting in designing and implementing cash flow forecasting processes designed to enable currency hedging.
- Documenting product sourcing cash flows across the BDX enterprise.
- Collaborating with regional and functional partners to develop long-term strategic as well as periodic plans related to sourcing cash flows.
- In partnership with Integrated Supply Chain and regional leaders, analyze sourcing cash flows and the associated foreign exchange risk exposure.
- Partnering with Integrated Supply Chain and Finance, provide actionable insights and data analysis that will assist in optimizing inventory levels and flows.
- Identifying and implementing new ways of analyzing BD's sourcing strategies for third-party purchases of raw materials.
- Developing analytical models and tools to enhance forecast accuracy.
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the processes for assigned area of responsibility.
- Identifying and implementing continuous improvement and best practices related to foreign exchange and cash flow management.
- Collaborating with regional process owners to ensure standardization across the framework.
- Assisting in preparing reports, presentations, and recommendations.
- Fostering a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning within the FX and Cash Flow Management team.
- Leading talent assessment, development, and deployment within the team.
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key business partners.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor's degree in economics/finance required.
- MBA and/or other professional certifications preferred.
Experience
- 8+ years of relevant financial experience with previous experience leading teams.
- Financial experience supporting supply chain and manufacturing preferred.
Knowledge, skills, abilities
- Strong understanding of MedTech operations, accounting, compliance, tax, and supply chain/manufacturing.
- Knowledge of foreign currency, including foreign exchange hedging and cash flow forecasting.
- Experience in USGAAP/IFRS technical accounting and managing intercompany processes.
- Ability to analyze intercompany profit and supply chain data to provide enterprise-wide insights.
- Experience in a business partnership role, with proven expertise in building cross-functional relationships.
- Proficiency in financial systems and tools (SAP, JDE, BPC) and Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to build credibility, influence stakeholders, and drive high-impact solutions.
- Resilience, adaptability, and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
- Excellent collaboration, relationship-building, and communication skills.
