Associate Director, Global Function Finance DDIT

Summary

We are seeking an IT Business Partner for our Finance teams in Japan. This role mainly drives and ensures that DDIT (Data, Digital and IT) global and local demand is captured for business and collaborates with other DDIT functions to ensure quality services are delivered to stakeholders as per agreed service descriptions.

Novartis has a Global SAP ERP Landscape, work Closely with the Finance Business to understand pain points and remediate them, identify areas of improvement, achieve high level of service, cost efficiency, quality and compliance working together with the Strategic vendor.

About the Role

Major accountabilities:

• Understand the business strategy, requirements, and processes of the Finance teams and align IT strategy and services accordingly.
• Provide expertise in supporting the Finance business and manage demands including analyzing, budgeting, and initiating a variety of projects.
• Act as the GF representative in Japan, supporting global projects country roll out and ensuring successful implementation.
• Manage the IT project portfolio for the business, ensuring the alignment and integration of projects and change efforts.
• Manage communication with stakeholders at all levels, developing and maintaining strong relationships.
• Prior experience of working in SAP Operations preferably as Service operations expert / Team lead / Domain Lead etc.
• Leverage deep experience in finance ERP & digital solutions to help support our business objectives.
• Serves as point of escalation. Key business partner for business continuity.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 8-10 years functional background in SAP FICO preferably in a Global company with minimum 2 complete cycle of SAP implementation.
• Proven experience in a similar role, showing in-depth knowledge about Finance digital technology and SAP solution.
• Sound knowledge in SOX, GxP regulations.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage high-level stakeholders.
• Proven project management skills.
• Experience in new company establishment, shared service center setup and other related IT management are preferred.
• Pharmaceutical industry experience is advantageous.
• Native Japanese speaker, Business fluent in English (Written and spoken)

Desirable Requirements:

• Knowledge or experience of SAP S/4 HANA
• Experience of working in Pharma industry
