The primary focus for this position is create the brand strategy for the first pharmaceutical treatment in the management of Sleep Apnea for people with obesity. It has also the potential to improve heart failure in patients with obesity, a disease with high unmet need.

Across all workstreams and responsibilities, the Associate Director is expected to collaborate closely with market research, medical affairs, and other cross-functional partners as well as external agencies, including the Agency of Record (AOR). Marketing competencies that will be developed and leveraged in this role include market understanding, insights, analysis & synthesis, brand strategy and planning, and communication and influence.

This position will report to the Senior Director Global Marketing . The person in this role has the potential to move to the US brand team for launch of this indication as we get close to launch.

Responsibilities:

  • Market understanding
    • Partner with market research to drive deep knowledge of the HFpEF market today including market dynamics, competitive landscape, environmental factors.
    • Market opportunity assessment - gather external insights into the value of data for cardiologists
    • Represent the commercial perspective with the development team responsible for the SUMMIT study
    • Partner with regulatory on label scenarios
    • Follow evolution of the competitive landscape and implications to our program
  • Insights, Analytics and Synthesis
    • Partner with market research to drive foundational understanding of the Patient with obesity and HFpEF and Cardiologists.
  • Brand Strategy and Planning
    • Identification of target patient
    • Lead strategy development
    • Support development of environment shaping strategy

  • Insights, Analytics and Synthesis
    • Partner with market research to drive foundational understanding of the Patient with obesity and HFpEF and Cardiologists.
    • Create patient flow and foundational document

  • Brand Strategy and Planning
    • Identification of target patient
    • Support the team in the market archetype decision
    • Lead strategy development according to market archetype- positioning, placement, core message elements
    • Support development of environment shaping strategy
    • Develop the strategy in close connection with the anchor indication (obesity)

Other Responsibilities

  • Integrate effectively and serve as the global marketing team voice with the cross-functional team (market research, medical affairs, PRA, development, VEO, etc.)
  • Serve as a champion of the "Voice of the Customer" throughout the organization
  • Contribute to a winning, inclusive culture through demonstration of Team Lilly behaviors

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business/Marketing
  • At least 5 years of pharma brand management experience

  • Self-starter with high level of curiosity and desire to learn
