Associate Engineer

Location: EATON Oceantech office: Unit A, Oakcroft Business Centre, Oakcroft Road, Chessington, KT9 1RH, U.K.

We are looking for an Associate Engineer who will be responsible to provide engineering support to the Production Department to ensure the timely manufacture of the company product including the implementation of test environments to successfully pass the Factory Test prior to shipment.

What you'll do:

• Study and assist engineers with fault finding and repair of embedded electronic modules, PCBs, and instruments.
• Provide engineering support to Project Managers, Project Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, and Software Engineers whenever possible to gain a wider understanding of the engineering processes used to design the customer systems.
• Perform company on site installation/commissioning services at customer locations (International).

Qualifications:

• Graduate, Level 5 HND in Engineering (Electrical & Electronic), or Level 5 Advanced Technician Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or Foundation Degree in Engineering.

Skills:

• Good knowledge of electronic circuits, PCBs, and embedded software (Python, C++, etc) essential, with PCB experience and design with Adurino, Adafruit, Seed, SparkFun etc. is not mandatory.
• Confident traveling alone to international destinations.
• Comfortable with flying (incl. light aircraft/helicopter), experience on boats (eg sailing), proficient swimmer (essential), and drivers license.
• Ability to work alone and make decisions without being directed.
