As an Associate Experience Design Engineer, you will play a key role in partnering with key stakeholders in defining opportunities to improve existing (and develop new) tools and processes used internally by ADP associates. Design Engineers are expected to be User Experience-oriented, have knowledge in Business Process Improvement methodologies (SIPOC, Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvements (kaizen)...), how to interview users and map existing process, define ambitious targets, animate groups of engineers to design solutions, ensure project management to deliver the expected output, report to stakeholders, and measure the results.
In this role you will, meet with internal stakeholders: managers, associates within ADP's organization; Organize Interviews, process mapping workshops; Define the target and vision of the ideal User Experience and processes; Facilitate workshops with groups of associates consisting of a mix of business stakeholders, participants of the process, engineers to design improved solutions; Design new creative solutions, prototype them; Manage projects to deliver short term value & initiate long term projects; Report on progress, risks, achievements; Prepare change management & communication; Measure alignment of outputs compared to initial expectation.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Here's what you can expect on a typical day:
- You'll start each day with a scrum, working with a team to understand responsibilities, identify issues, and communicate coding priorities.
- You're the point of contact for the project. You'll share information with your teammates, mark milestones, and provide metrics and status updates to product owners and project sponsors.
- As a project manager, you are very organized, and you keep everyone on task. Is a meeting going off-topic? You'll pull the team back to the agenda. Scope creeping? You'll stay on top of the schedule, remove barriers, identify dependencies, and mitigate risks.
- Variety of tasks. There is no typical day. You could coach a teammate, deliver a status update to executives in other departments, or make sure we have deployed our resources in the best possible way. You will manage many competing priorities, so a fast pace should not scare you. You pride yourself on having flexibility and agility and can change directions without a second thought.
- Servant Leadership. Your job is to help everyone else work better. What tasks or issues can you handle so your development team can keep working? What barriers can you remove?
- You have 8-12 years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role.
TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
- You'll have a Bachelor's degree OR equivalent
- Required the following core skill sets: - Business Process Improvements (BPI) methodologies and experience: SIPOC, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar
- User interviews & Process Mapping experience
- Creativity & Problem Solving - All candidates must demonstrate a strong ability for problem solving.
- Project Management - All candidates must have a working knowledge of basic project management and task tracking skills.
- Collaboration & group animation - the candidate must demonstrate a strong ability to animate groups of users.
- Communications - the role will include success storytelling and communication to leadership teams
- Passion for problem solving, where technology and process interact
- Broad Technical Knowledge - A broad understanding of various areas of technology outside of their subject matter focus area. The role should include easy to achieve technical deliverables (web page mockup, system configuration, content creation)
- UX/UI design: knowledge of end-to-end solution design
