Associate General Counsel, Litigation

Meta seeks a sharp, strategic and highly motivated, team player to join the Litigation team. You will work cross-functionally with a wide variety of teams across the company. This role requires good judgment, a demonstrated work ethic, communication and relationship-building skills, and a demonstrated interest in learning about new technologies and areas of the law. Associate General Counsel, Litigation Responsibilities:

• Manage and drive strategy for high-profile litigation and pre-litigation matters, including privacy litigation, consumer class actions, constitutional and commercial disputes, and other content-related matters
• Collaborate with and manage outside counsel
• Advise cross-functional teams on litigation strategy and risks
• Coordinate and actively participate in internal discovery activities in partnership with our world-class eDiscovery team
• Develop novel approaches to managing legal risks and resolving disputes

Minimum Qualifications:

• J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one U.S. state bar
• 8+ years of litigation experience at a law firm, government, and/or in-house role
• Experience managing multiple high priority projects simultaneously
• Experience managing high stakes, complex litigation
• Demonstrated business judgment and client counseling skills
• Effective communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with technology companies
• Experience defending litigation with state and federal regulators
• Experience managing class actions
• Experience working with cross-functional teams, both legal and non-legal
• Trial and appellate experience

$198,000/year to $266,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits

Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base hourly rate, monthly rate, or annual salary only, and do not include bonus, equity or sales incentives, if applicable.
