Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Associate Process Engineer located in Buffalo Grove Il.

Reporting to the Engineering Service Manager the Associate Process Engineer will work as part of a factory engineering team to support high speed automated manufacturing equipment and processes in our medical manufacturing facility.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:
  • Generate engineering documentation to support equipment changes and upgrades.
  • Support the raising and introduction of engineering change orders (ECOs).
  • Assist in the development and improvement of work instructions and provide training to production personnel.
  • Support manufacturing KPIs such as OEE, Yield, Scrap and Downtime
  • Support continuous improvement activities.
  • Capability to independently or together with other engineering stakeholders identify root causes of failures in the manufacturing process.
  • High level participation in daily production activities and effective problem solving on daily issues.
  • Understand the manufacturing process, technologies, techniques, and the product.
  • Participate in process related troubleshooting.
  • Support engineering team with projects.
  • Participate in activities pertaining to cycle time and process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation.
  • Support creation of data driven reports as required for engineering team and management.
Here is some of what you'll need:
  • BS Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 1-2 years' experience in a technology-based industry, where automated assembly techniques are utilized.
  • Experience with manufacturing of medical devices or another regulated industry is a plus.
  • Experience using Agile PLM system is a plus.
  • Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering experience working with high-volume assembly processes.
  • Knowledge of automated equipment systems and tools - Robotics, Vision Systems, Material Handling, Conveyors, PLC, HMI, Pick and Place, Packaging, Inspection/Test.
