The Associate Project Manager serves as an integral part of the Project Management Department, leading and supporting GMP projects, and project lifecycles within the department, including coordination with Customer Relations. This role oversees the completion of GMP projects through initiation, planning, assigning, monitoring, and reviewing work progress from all participating parties. The Associate Project Manager also plays a key point of contact for clients during the lifecycle of an order. This role will handle a limited number of clients through all project lifecycle phases.
Essential Functions
- Act as a critical point of contact for assigned clients
- Provide routine and clear communication with internal teams as well as external teams
- Establish and maintain internal and external project timelines that include meaningful milestones and internal/external resources
- Lead and support project team meetings and ensure follow-up of actions items, resolving and/or escalating issues internally and externally in a timely fashion and to proper participants
- Coordinate meetings, assemble agendas, capture decisions and actions through minutes for meetings held either internally or with the client
- Organize efficient and timely information flow across all project participants
- Maintain documentation in accordance with GDP and internal SOPs
- Thoroughly understand Aldevron operations to disseminate client questions to relevant stakeholders throughout the organization effectively
- Drafting and routing of business and specification documents, as necessary
- Identify and appropriately escalate issues in a timely manner
Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar role
Education
- B.S. required; scientific degree preferred
Skills & Knowledge
- Must be able to communicate, both in writing and verbally effectively
- Knowledge of GMP or similarly regulated processes preferred
- Ability to coordinate and facilitate team and client meetings
- Ability to effectively resolve and/or escalate issues internally and externally.
- Possess a thorough understanding of Aldevron product manufacturing from initiation through release capabilities.
- Ability to communicate difficult and sensitive information tactfully
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to think critically
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
