Job Summary Responsible for building and maintaining web-based solutions using the Microsoft technology stack. This includes coding in Visual Studio, managing source control with Git and Azure DevOps, and working with SQL Server tools to handle database components. The role will emphasize on-the-job training while learning the technology, business, and developer processes at GuideStone. What You'll Do β€’ Responsible for completing all training and demonstrating competency in the core areas of the C# language, object-oriented principles, and developer processes β€’ Writing C# code using Visual Studio in a feature branch utilizing feature toggles β€’ Writing automated tests for all code changes (except UI code) β€’ Manually testing all coding changes in a local environment β€’ Creating QA test cases and working with the business to aid QA testing β€’ Writing T-SQL to maintain stored procedures, tables, indexes, and views using SQL Server Management Studio β€’ Submitting code changes using Git via Azure β€’ Regularly meeting with the scrum team to prioritize work β€’ Monitoring, tracking, and fixing errors β€’ Using Azure Pipelines to view status of builds and releases β€’ Regularly participates in mentoring and being mentored by other developers within the organization What You'll Need β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Management of Information Systems β€’ No previous experience required, but up to 2 years of direct experience considered β€’ Demonstratable knowledge, understanding, and experience with Object-Oriented programming concepts β€’ Communicates effectively to technical and non-technical audiences and adjusts messaging accordingly β€’ Must demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and a desire to share ideas and solutions with others β€’ Works effectively independently and within a team environment β€’ Desire to work in the Microsoft stack of technologies (Visual Studio, SQL Server, Azure, etc.) β€’ Willing to work in a hybrid office environment β€’ Aptitude to learn complex technical skills and adapt to technology changes #LI-Hybrid #LI-AB1
