WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for an Associate Software Engineer to join our Global Technology organization. In this role, you will collaborate with other team members and business partners to develop and analyze user stories, transform them into implementable components, and deliver inspirational new features to our users. You will partner with the tech lead and diverse technical team to implement the vision for the future. The successful candidate is a beginner software engineer with excellent communication skills, a collaborative teammate, and having hands-on coding skills!
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
- Developing, coding/configuring, and testing programs and systems
- Providing operational support for production systems
- Collaborating with the team in the planning, design, and development of systems
- Applying technical knowledge under mentorship, supervision, and well-defined work direction
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
We work within the Digital Demand Sensing group which partners with a SaaS product for the Assortment Planning tools. You will work directly with designers, product manager and tech lead on the development of key innovative features and the Engineering Manager for your capability area for mentoring and growth.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1+ years of experience in server-side software development, programming in Java or other JVM-based languages
- 1+ years of experience in front-end software development, with JavaScript, preferably with React
- Some exposure to cloud computing platforms (preferably AWS) and computing instances (EC2, Fargate, Lambdas).
- Some exposure to GraphQL is a nice to have
- Knowledge of continuous integration, unit and integration testing
- Knowledge of Scrum and Agile principles
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, goal-oriented, diverse environment
