The Associate VP, Insurance Product Management Manages insurance product offerings for each market and customer need. The Associate VP, Insurance Product Management requires a in-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across segments and/or enterprise-wide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the strategy, planning and execution of the Medicare Advantage annual planning and bid cycle strategy, implementation, and execution for a total of ~5.5M individual MA members.
  • Responsible for ensuring that both upstream and downstream partners are aware of all new strategies and initiatives.
  • Ensure all benefits and products can be implemented based off current operations.
  • Support the Feasibility process to ensure all business partners are made aware of plan and benefit changes prior to go live date.
  • Understand benefit intent to ensure claims are set up appropriately.
  • Directly accountable for the end-to-end development of the individual and Medicare markets in Medicare Advantage Plans through three core stages:Lead the strategy and planning of new and existing benefits, creating a plan design that meets the needs of our members.
  • Partner with Strategy Team to align on key initiatives.
    • New pilots and tests
    • Any new consumer segments the Growth team is preparing to bring to market.
    • Assist with creation of new supplemental benefits as well as rewards and incentives.
    • Assist Markets with Strategy for Product and Benefit Design
    • Ensure product offerings and intent are clearly understood.
    • Communicate impacts to up and downstream partners to include corporate finance, actuarial, member and provider services as well as growth and strategy teams.
    • Recommend, explore the feasibility of new benefit ideas, changes to existing benefits, and plan designs.
    • Lead the strategic benefit planning meetings with markets.
    • Manage the Individual Medicare Advantage (MA) product life cycle.
    • A peer to this position has responsibility for Individual PDP
    • Execution of plan designs through all processes leading up to final plan submission to Centers of Medicare and Medicaid.
    • Validate the accuracy of all benefits in filing and member facing documents, this includes for all Individual and Group MA plans.
    • AEP and 1/1 Readiness
    • Provide Product Training for sales and other associates across the Enterprise.
    • Partner with key stakeholders (sales, growth, CPSS, markets, etc.)
    • Implementation of final plans, ensuring the member experiences and necessary strategies flow to all touchpoints

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience within Medicare and product
  • 10+ years of operational leadership experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Medicare end to end
  • Excels in a matrix structure (corporate/market)
  • Demonstrated influence/negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to speak up and challenge.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$164,700 - $226,600 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
