IBM holds numerous awards for its industry-leading employment practices and policies. Working within a collaborative and dynamic team we are on the hunt for a Lawyer to join our Legal department.
We are looking for an experienced Lawyer to advise senior management in Australia and New Zealand on a range of legal matters.
You will review interpret and advise on federal and state laws IBM policies and practices business conduct and ethics. You will also be involved in drafting and reviewing agreements contracts and other documents. You will be involved in dispute management litigation and instruct external counsel where required. The role will also assume additional responsibilities as assigned.

- Represent the organisation both internally and externally

- Collaborate with stakeholders of all levels on multi-faceted work around the world
This is a permanent role based in Sydney or Melbourne
- At least 2-5 yearsโ experience as a Lawyer
- Current practising certificate NSW or other Australian state
- Strong academic background
- Experience in a major law firm
- Secondments to corporates or a mix of law firm and in-house experience preferred
- Needs to be a strong team player and capable of working unsupervised
- Dynamic enthusiastic personality
- Capable of building strong relationships with the business
- Some interstate and NZ travel may be required for matters
