Job Description

Distributed Solutions, Inc. (DSI) is a fast-growing company seeking a highly motivated Quality Assurance Analyst responsible for working closely with our Quality Assurance Team in our Product Management Group to provide increased customer satisfaction, as well as code reliability and developer productivity across DSI's software products while reducing development and maintenance costs.

The selected candidate must be a committed individual who can design and implement quality and testing processes and work within all areas and phases of the Product/Software Development Lifecycle. This role can be performed in Reston Va. or Remotely.

Required Experience:

• Proven Experience with Automated Testing Tools: Demonstrable experience with Unified Functional Testing (UFT) for automating web and desktop applications.
• Expertise in VBScript: In-depth knowledge of VBScript for scripting automated test cases and enhancing test frameworks.
• Proficiency in Writing Custom Functions: Ability to write reusable, efficient, and robust custom functions in VBScript to extend the functionality of automated tests.
• Understanding of Descriptive Programming: Strong understanding of descriptive programming techniques to dynamically identify and interact with web elements without relying on object repositories.
• Experience with Test Planning and Execution: Proven track record of planning, designing, and executing complex automated test scenarios and test cases.
• Knowledge of Test Frameworks: Familiarity with key test automation frameworks and principles and the ability to customize and improve existing frameworks to meet testing needs.
• Debugging and Troubleshooting Skills: Exceptional debugging skills to identify, analyze, and resolve issues and defects in automated tests.
• Integration with Test Management Tools: Experience integrating automated tests with test management tools (e.g., ALM/QC) for test execution and reporting.
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) Practices: Knowledge of integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless software delivery.
• Collaboration and Communication: Strong collaboration skills to work closely with development and QA teams and excellent communication skills to document and share testing outcomes and insights.

Experience and Skills

• Highly technical, should be capable of being a developer, but prefer to work in testing and quality assurance.
• Proven track record of completing projects to specifications while dealing with challenges such as cross-team dependencies, changing schedules, and constantly evolving requirements.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Knowledge of test automation approaches and tools.
• Experience analyzing automated Performance testing and Security scan results.
• Experience with Acquisition and Procurement processes.
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server (TFS).
• Experience with UFT, LeanFT, or any other Automated Testing Solution.
