An Infrastructure Specialist for the AWS Platform is a highly skilled professional responsible for managing and implementing AWS-based infrastructure solutions according to established designs. This role ensures that infrastructure is scalable reliable and secure. The specialist has deep proficiency in AWS services including EC2 S3 VPC RDS and Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) along with expertise in Linux and VMware environments.
Responsibilities include setting up configuring and managing AWS EC2 instances storage solutions networking and databases to effectively support business applications. The specialist implements and oversees essential AWS resources such as Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs) Elastic Load Balancers (ELBs) and Application Load Balancers (ALBs) to ensure smooth operations. They continuously monitor AWS infrastructure troubleshoot issues and maintain high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) configurations to ensure reliable performance.
The specialist applies and enforces security measures to ensure AWS infrastructure complies with organizational policies and industry regulations. They optimize AWS costs by right-sizing resources developing cost-effective solutions and monitoring usage patterns. Collaboration with IT teams is key to implementing and integrating AWS infrastructure solutions based on existing designs.
Experience with DevOps practices such as continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) is required.
