What You Offer
The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Services Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based applications, infrastructure and platforms. They are responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud systems. 
Responsibilities:

  • Architect, design, and deploy scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS.
  • Write, test, and debug code adhering to best practices and coding standards.
  • Manage, monitor, and optimize cloud resources, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Develop and implement automation scripts using tools like AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar to streamline operations.
  • Implement and maintain cloud security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security.
  • Monitor and manage cloud costs, optimizing resources to ensure cost-effective use of AWS services.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features and improve existing ones.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure smooth deployment and integration of applications in the cloud environment.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of cloud architecture, configurations, and processes.
  • Stay up to date with the latest AWS services, features, and best practices to continually enhance our cloud infrastructure.


Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 7+ years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.

Other Experience, Requirements & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on cloud-based applications.
  • AWS Certifications desirable: Cloud Solutions Architect, Developer, Security.
  • Strong understanding of AWS security best practices and tools.
  • Proficiency in AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC and IAM).
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure as code tools (CloudFormation, Terraform) and scripting languages (Python, Bash).
  • Solid experience in implementing user management and authentication solutions with Amazon Cognito.
  • Experience in using application creation, deployment, and management systems.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Continuous learning orientation with a passion for staying updated with new technologies and industry trends.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.

Salary for this role is between $120,000-$140,000 depending on your unique mix of education and experience.
