Job Description

As Azure Data Architect You will be delivering a high quality and innovative data driven solution to our client’s advance analytical needs. This will include, working within a team on the clients site: understanding the client’s pain, designing an analytical approach, implementing a solution, ensuring it is of high quality, and leading and mentoring multi discipline technology teams

Your Key Result Areas:

• You will be a part of experienced onsite consulting/delivery teams developing & providing architectures for a highly resilient, fault tolerant, horizontally scalable data platform.
• Will build multiple layers within the platform around Data Ingestion, Integration, Metadata Management, Data security and data presentation
• Working with the client Architects to refine ideas on the Analytics Architecture and help with standards and guidelines.
• Building a Data Engineering community and helping customers/clients to build centre of excellence for engineering.
• Ensuring development teams deliver the highest quality data products through the adoption and continuous improvement of patterns and practices, tools and frameworks and processes.
• Applying years of experience and expertise to help teams resolve and overcome technical challenges of any size or complexity and assist where necessary to accelerate problem resolution.

Qualifications

Must have:

• You will be a skilled Architect helping customer teams to design, strategize and build the data foundations to drive Analytics business use cases on Azure.
• You will engineer and orchestrate data flows & pipelines in a cloud environment using a progressive tech stack e.g. ADF, Databricks, Spark, Python, PySpark, Synapse, Delta Lake, SQL, Logic Apps, Azure Functions, ADLS
• Strong experience in building data transformation techniques using Spark and DataBricks.
• You will design the architecture to Ingest and integrate data from a large number of disparate data sources
• You will design and build complex data processing solutions both in batch & real time use cases. Knowledge in Kafka/Spark is a value add but experience in EventHub/Stream Analytics is needed for designing real time solution.
• You will work closely with analysts, data scientists and technology partners to understand their requirements
• You will exercise fluid communication with your team of data engineers and analysts
• You will enthusiastically evolve your technical skillset, engage in training, and learn new technologies and techniques
• You will work comfortably in an agile and fast paced environment.
• Able to compare between best of technologies by layer – e.g., stream processing, messaging, search, etc.
• Comes with strong experience in delivering Data Solutions using Big-Data technologies and cloud platforms
• Suggest the architecture which incorporates Security controls around authentication, authorizations, and encryption
• Recommend the migration tools and design data migration strategy
• Design and implement Metadata management and data catalogs process on top of the built Azure Data Platform

Nice to have:

• Experience in Architecting multi cloud solutions
• Experience in delivering big data solutions using a leading Hadoop distribution like Cloudera, Snowflake Knowledge of RDBMS, ETL and Data warehouse technologies
