Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Azure Specialist to join our IT department. You will work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless operations and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the cloud environment. This role requires deep technical expertise in Azure cloud services, a strong understanding of cloud architecture, and excellent problem-solving skills. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide input on best practices for cloud infrastructure design, monitoring, and maintenance.

• Experience in designing, implementing, and managing Azure Policies to enforce organizational standards and compliance at scale.

• Strong understanding of Azure Policy definitions, initiatives, and remediation tasks.

• Ability to create custom Azure Policies to align with governance, security, and compliance requirements.

• Proven track record of leveraging Azure Policy to automate compliance assessments and ensure continuous adherence to industry standards and best practices.

• Experience in integrating Azure Policy with other Azure services (e.g., Azure Blueprints, Azure Security Center) for enhanced governance and compliance.

• Stay updated with the latest Azure features and services, and proactively recommend new tools or technologies that can enhance our cloud environment.

• Implement automation solutions to streamline IT operations and improve efficiency.

• Develop and troubleshoot Azure Functions and Logic Apps to support automation and integration tasks.

• Manage and administer Azure Active Directory (AAD)/Entra for user access, roles, and permissions.

• Implement and maintain identity governance, IAM Access and multi-subscription permission management

• Handle IAM-related incidents, including access requests, password resets, and account provisioning/de-provisioning.

• Maintain and monitor cloud-based infrastructure, particularly within Microsoft Azure.

• Implement and manage Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, and networking configurations.

• Design and implement improvements to the Azure infrastructure and services

Qualifications

Experience:

• Minimum of 8 plus years of experience in IT support roles, with at least 3 years specifically with Azure

• Proven experience in managing, supporting, and troubleshooting large-scale Azure environments.

• Experience with Azure services such as Azure Active Directory, Virtual Networks, Application Gateways, Azure Security Center, and Azure DevOps.

• Experience in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or similar tools.
  

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of Azure security best practices, compliance standards, and identity management.

• Proficiency in core Azure services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory, Azure Storage, and Azure Networking.

• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and third-party monitoring solutions.

• Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on root cause analysis.

Certifications:

• Azure Solutions Architect Expert good to have.

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate is preferred.
