Intern Job Overview
To drive growth and the future ability of AvidXchange to continue to be a leader in Accounts Payable & Payment Automation we are looking forBackend Software Engineerinterns for the summer of 2023. You will work with diverse, smart, and passionate people to deliver results that have a direct impact on the company's bottom line. You will be challenged to grow, excel, and lead alongside the brightest talent in the industry, and be rewarded for your achievements.
As a Software Engineer, you will collaborate in small, focused Agile teams with experienced engineers and mentors to gain hands-on experience with full-lifecycle development. As a software engineer intern, you will have the opportunity to work with cross-functional technology and business teams to create application solutions for our customers (internally and externally) needs.
The technology stack that you will gain hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core, SQL, Azure
Duties and responsibilities:
- Interns will be allocated time each week to collect as a team and discuss experiences, ideas, and learnings
- Thrive in a team-based atmosphere where the workload is distributed across the team but where success is dependent on each other
- Be motivated by a fast-paced, high-volume deadline-driven environment
- At the end of the internship, interns will be responsible for collecting their best suggestions, presenting conceptual solutions for automation, and innovating how we are working with the team to business leaders and executives
- Excellent organizational, leadership, facilitation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Proactive, accountable, autonomous, and solutions-oriented mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Outside-the-box thinking skills preferred
- Communication:Effectively transfers information and expresses ideas to individuals or groups in oral and written form
- Business Acumen:Strong business understanding and judgment
- Problem-Solving:Identifies problems, develops and evaluates options, and implements solutions
- Teamwork:Promotes and facilitates coordination and cooperation among peers
- Strategic Thinking:Looks at existing processes and works with their supervisor to explore possible enhancements that could positively affect client experience and organizational excellence
- Adaptability:Manages competing demands and adapts to frequent change, delays, and unexpected results. Leverages the proper tools, solutions, and methods for the situation, and does not take a one size fits all approach
- All interns must have completed a technical Bootcamp certification program orat least two years toward a higher education degree from an accredited college/university.
- Undergraduate Degree:Sophmore, Junior, or Senior year of study
- Graduate Degree:expected graduation December 2023 and after
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required, major or cumulative
- All majors are welcome to apply,Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, and Information Systems, Mathematics, Economics, or a relatedmajoris preferred
