Backend Engineer Associate

We are looking for a Backend Engineer who will collaborate with the development team through the complete lifecycle of product development. Guide and train junior developers when it comes to software development best practices and procedures. Enhance and maintain existing software system applications as needed Create software modules and mechanisms that can be reused and make improvements to existing modules. 

Our requirements for this position are:

Hard Skills:

• 3+ years of experience developing: Complex, high-performance enterprise software using Java technologies Java - Spring/SpringBoot Hibernate/JPA development
• Broad experience with relational databases, data modeling, and Object-Oriented software designs
• Proven experience with: Development using techniques, such as TDD, BDD and FDD
• Participation in agile development teams (SCRUM, Kanban)
• Experience with event-driven architectures Git, Github, CI/CD pipelines
• Have worked with AWS Proven experience with design, implementation, and consumption of RESTful web services
• Microservices design, implementation and consumption
• Skills for upholding best practices in engineering, security, and design

Soft Skills:

• Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach junior developers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate technical trade-offs and make informed decisions.
• Skills for upholding best practices in engineering, security, and design.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Participation in agile development teams (SCRUM, Kanban).
• Proficiency in English.

Additional Skills & Plus:

• Experience with PostgreSQL databases.
• Experience with Docker container creation and configuration.
