Backend (Python) Engineer - Hublead team

We at Holycode are currently looking for a Backend (Python) Engineer with strong skills and proven experience who is ready to dive into the Hublead project team, for a full-time engagement, to join our company of passionate IT professionals.

The Opportunity:
We’re building a tight-knit development team and are looking for a talented Backend Engineer to join us. You will collaborate closely with our Tech Lead to build scalable, user-focused solutions.

• Focus on building robust server-side systems.
• Ensure seamless integration of APIs, databases, and back-end architecture.
• Stabilize the stack with unit tests.

What You'll Do:

• Collaborate with the Tech Lead to design, develop, and maintain features end-to-end.
• Work in an agile environment with a strong focus on delivering high-quality code.
• Contribute to improving development workflows and team practices.
• Design and implement APIs, database structures, and scalable back-end systems using Node.js, Python, or similar technologies.
• Focus on performance, security, and maintainability of server-side architecture.
• Write unit and integration tests.

What We're Looking For:

• 3+ / 5+ years of experience in backend development.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a small, collaborative team.
• A proactive mindset and passion for building scalable solutions.
• Experience with agile methodologies.
• Experience with versioning tools (Git, svn, etc.).
• Experience with Docker.
• Strong experience with back-end frameworks, RESTful APIs, and databases (SQL or NoSQL).
• Strong experience with Python and Django.
• Strong aptitude to solve complex problems and abstract thinking ability skills.
• Security aware : committed to implementing data protection & IT security best practices.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
