Baker/Pastry Chef

Overview We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pastry preparation and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all baked goods are not only delicious but also visually appealing. This role involves working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, where creativity and precision are key to producing high-quality pastries and desserts. Responsibilities • Prepare a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and standards. • Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed during food preparation and handling. • Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new pastry recipes and menu items. • Package finished products for display or catering orders, ensuring presentation meets quality standards. • Maintain an organized and clean workspace, adhering to kitchen cleanliness protocols. • Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies needed for pastry production. • Participate in catering events as required, showcasing pastry skills in various settings. Experience • Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or similar role in a culinary environment is preferred. • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations related to food handling and production. • Familiarity with various baking techniques and pastry styles, including cakes, tarts, cookies, and confections. • Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus but not mandatory; hands-on experience will be highly valued. • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in food preparation. • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within the kitchen environment.
