Your Role and Responsibilities
An employee in this job role has responsibility for either the design or operational aspects of one or more IBM employee benefits programs within a particular country or region. The scope of the role will vary by country depending on benefits offered and resources available. Benefits professionals engaged in the design of IBM’s employee benefits programs will have primary responsibility for determining the rules and features of the IBM plans and benchmarking the plans against those of IBM’s competitors. Benefits professionals engaged in the operational aspects of IBM’s benefits programs will have primary responsibility for day to day operational activities such as implementing design changes resolving individual employee questions or issues managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts. In addition this job role requires frequent teaming with other IBM functions on matters involving legal compliance employee relations employee communications and financial reporting related to the benefits programs. Leads business unit country or international teams conducts special projects or manages functions or strategic departments.
Impact on Business/Scope:
Accountable for business unit major country or international projects or programs. Responsible for committing multiple resources and achieving customer satisfaction cost expense revenue and other business measurements of critical importance. Responsible for quality output/value add for highly visible products services and future business development.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- 7+ years’ experience in operations delivery management or related business consulting or technical experience
- Experience with automation projects and/or process simplification
- Ability to develop and execute on business strategy including automation strategy
- Ability to analyze and redesign end-to-end processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- People management experience with the ability to coach effectively manage group dynamics and lead and collaborate virtually within a global team
- Excellent influencing skills and executive presence with the ability to present ideas and solutions clearly and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of business controls
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with tight turnaround times with the ability to prioritize work when there are competing demands
- Willingness to be flexible in work times to accommodate meetings in multiple regions
