The opportunity

Unity is seeking a BI Developer to join as an integral member of our growing Corporate Data & Analytics team. As an expert in SQL, analytics and analytics operations, you will have the opportunity to build automation, dashboards, data sets, reporting pipelines and work cross-functionally across business & technical teams to build data solutions.

This is a hybrid role based in our Bengaluru office that requires 3 days a week to be in the office.

What you'll be doing

• Design and develop scalable data and metrics automation, self-service dashboards, and data access solutions
• Architect and work with the Data Engineering team to develop a BI infrastructure and data pipelines to support a business reporting data layer
• Be responsible for documentation/training to enable data and insights discovery
• Apply data governance principles working alongside the data governance team to ensure data quality, integrity and timeliness are maintained
• Mentor and lead cross-functional efforts to evangelize business intelligence best practices both within and outside the organization

What we're looking for

• A seasoned BI expert with a proven track record in data pipeline development, with hands-on experience encompassing the entire data lifecycle, from data ingestion to automation to comprehensive analysis and insightful visualization.
• A motivated business intelligence developer with strong analytical and problem-solving skills with phenomenal attention to detail in building data automation solutions
• A self-starter who can roll up their sleeves and operate in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and dynamic startup environment to drive work to completion in a timely fashion
• A SQL expert proficient in languages like Python (or equivalent) with extensive experience with data visualization tools (such as Looker, Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, Domo, etc.), business intelligence and automation principles, development working with open source and proprietary data tools (e.g. AirFlow, etc.)
• Passion and hands-on experience in data and analytics with the ability to deliver sophisticated products, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and expertise in gathering requirements, prioritization, and leading technical project

You might also have

• Background in SaaS software, gaming, internet, or high growth technology industry
• Familiarity with Big Data Infrastructures, ETL practices & tools (e.g. SQL/BigQuery, Spark, AirFlow, etc.)
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
