About the Role:

We're seeking a Billing Platform Product Manager to develop and optimize our billing infrastructure for customers ranging from individual developers to large enterprises. You'll collaborate with Pricing PMs to design billing solutions that adapt to our rapid innovation pace (5+ new products or prices shipped monthly) ensuring scalable financial operations for us and a smooth billing experience for our diverse customer base. You’ll be a leader tasked with solving one of Vercel’s most pressing problems – building world-class economic infrastructure.

What You Will Do:

• Product & price management : design flexible billing infrastructure that can adapt to rapid pricing and feature changes and collaborate with Pricing PMs to build the right price structures and models

• Usage & metering : define the transformation layer for how usage data becomes billable items

• Financial operations : improve reliability and accuracy of billing data models and platform for IPO readiness

• Enterprise & contract management : develop billing solutions for enterprise clients to enable quote-to-cash for each contract

• Billing customer experience & enablement : create customer experience billing tools and support enablement for all user segments

About You:

• Billing Expertise : You have a deep understanding of subscription and usage-based billing models and platform architecture needed to serve individuals and enterprises

• Technical Depth : You were an engineer or PM of an infrastructure product and you understand how billing intersects with business needs

• Commitment to ship quickly : You iterate fast validate assumptions and bring an outcome-focused mentality

• Execution & Influence : You know how to earn trust and get things done

• Quantitative Background : A bachelor’s degree in Engineering Computer Science Mathematics or a similarly quantitative field is strongly preferred

The San Francisco CA base pay range for this role is $164000.00 - $246000.00.  This salary range is an estimate. Actual salary will be based on job related skills experience and location. Pay ranges outside San Francisco may be  adjusted based on employee location.  The total compensation package also includes benefits and equity-based compensation.
