Block Mason

**Job Overview:** We are seeking a skilled Mason to join our team for a PREVAILING WAGE PROJECT located in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for constructing and repairing structures using brick, block, or stone. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail, strong work ethic, and a passion for creating beautiful and durable structures. **Duties:** - Read blueprints, schematics, and plans to understand the scope of the project - Operate hand tools and heavy machinery to cut, shape, and place masonry materials - Construct and finish concrete walls, floors, and foundations - Use concrete forming techniques to create precise shapes and molds - Apply caulking to seal joints and gaps in masonry structures - Perform trim carpentry tasks to add finishing touches to the structure - Assist with building walls. - Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards - Collaborate with other construction professionals to complete projects efficiently and effectively **Qualifications:** -Billingual preferred. - Proven experience as a Mason - Knowledge of building codes and regulations - Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics - Familiarity with concrete finishing and forming techniques - Proficiency with hand tools and heavy machinery - Experience with renovating and restoring structures - Ability to work at heights and in cramped spaces - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship - Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks - Ability to work in a team environment - Valid driver's license (if applicable) **Skills:** - Blueprint reading - Restore - Schematics - Concrete finishing - Concrete forming - Caulking - Hand tool - Hardscape Job Type: Full-time Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40 per week Work Location: In person
