Brake Press Operator

Job Position: Brake Press Operator Location: Carrollton, TX 75006 Pay Rate: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour DOE Shift: 2nd Shift - Mon-Fri 2:00pm to 10:30pm Description: Stride Staffing has partnered with a leading precision metal manufacturer in the Carrollton area, and together we are actively seekingexperienced Brake Press Operatorsto join their 2nd shift team. Produce quality metal parts using a punch press, shear, and other machinery that makes precision cuts from a die inside the press. Experience with an Amada Press Brake specifically is a huge plus but not required, however press brake experience is a requirement. Responsibilities • Operates a stamping press to shape materials used in manufacturing operations in the production department • Performs operations such as blanking, bending, punching, forming, etc. on a variety of materials based on blueprints and other instructions • Responsibilities include configuring equipment and checking the quality of the product while operating, recognizing condition of dies, loading materials to the equipment, feeding material through die, and positioning and removing parts from the die • Keeps a record of number of pieces made and of any significant tasks performed, as well as any in process inspections that were performed while in production • Reads work schedule to ascertain production information, such as size, type, and quantity to be processed and the due date Job Experience/Education Required • High School diploma • 1-3 years’ experience as a press brake operator (Amada press is a huge plus) • Read and interpret blueprints • Familiarity with micrometers, calipers, gauges • Stable work history and reliable transportation #IRV1
