Brakes and HVAC Repair Technician

The Brakes and HVAC Repair Technician provides repair or overhaul of pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment. Essential Functions • Troubleshoot pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems. • Disassemble equipment and clean as needed. • Perform initial evaluation and inspection of equipment as assigned. Provide feedback as to what parts & labor are needed for repair. • Document evaluation findings and generate a Technician Evaluation Report. • Routing of wires and installing crimp terminations and/or connectors. • Test and record results for subassemblies and assemblies. • Perform component level and some system level testing as instructed. • Interpret readings of gages, indicators, and dials. • Assist in testing equipment and recording test results. • Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance and calibration on equipment as instructed. • Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment and ensure the compliance with company's rules and policies. • Must be able to comply with quality, product safety, and HSE rules, guidelines and regulations. Be energy conscious, if applicable. • Must understand and comply with applicable standards. ( i.e.: ISO 9001, ISO/TS 22163, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, and CMMI). • Maintain and safeguard business records • Technician will be trained HVAC repair skill and EPA 608 certification will be required “ Technical Competencies • Technical Capacity: controls and instrumentation • Mechanical Aptitude: equipment maintenance, mechanical inspection tools and tooling • Time Management to ensure equipment is ready for scheduled repair or overhaul • Problem Solving and Decision Making (in making job decisions, the incumbent is guided by policy, routine and procedures) • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word (data entry and report writing) Core Competencies 1. The base pay range for this role is $25.62 to $29.46. The company reasonably expects to pay within that range, however, Knorr Brake Company considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
