I. Job Summary | Major goals and objectives.
Dotdash Meredith is seeking a Manger, Brand Marketing to work in our New York-based Marketing Department for the Lifestyle Collection. The overall goal of the position is to write integrated marketing proposals that will help attract, maintain, and increase advertising business across a variety of key ad categories. The Brand Marketing Manager - Lifestyle Collection - will strategize around Southern Living, Midwest Living, Magnolia Journal, Allrecipes, DDM Travel Marketing, Meredith Premium Publishing and DTC brand goals and objectives as well as those of our marketing partners. This position plays an integral role in driving ad sales revenue and is responsible for conceiving and communicating creative marketing solutions that leverage the full portfolio of the Lifestyle group's print and experiential assets. The position combines pre-sale ideation and program execution to leverage the Lifestyle brands as vital media partners across multiple categories. The Brand Marketing Manager must be an enthusiastic, creative thinker, has great presentation skills and a team player who is resourceful, detail-oriented and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
II. Essential Job Functions
  • Develop client specific concepts and programs to drive revenue in print and/or sponsorship revenue which includes brainstorming with sellers, researching program concepts, writing and designing proposals/presentations and helping Ad Sales pitch when needed
  • Supports Ad Sales Marketing through ideation program development, RFP fulfillment, etc.
  • Conceive, develop and articulate new programs, initiatives and media solutions for the Lifestyle Collection
  • Participate in strategy sessions to evolve and optimize current offerings and identify new opportunities for our consumers and advertising partners
  • Spearhead the execution of individual client programs (sponsorships, sampling opportunities, custom advertorials, Travel Coops etc.) as well as brand added value programs which could include sweepstakes, AdMeasure, managing our promotional websites updates, etc.
  • The Marketing Manager will be responsible for creating and adhering to production schedules for projects while producing highest quality work within a deadline-oriented team. Will also be responsible for creating program recaps for clients once execution is complete.
  • Build compelling brand-specific sales materials and programs that are customized for relevant advertisers and categories
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Account Management, Design and other Marketing teams
  • Build and maintain relationships with third-party organizations and vendors to enhance Brand Marketing's arsenal of marketing programs and partnerships
  • Create brand materials as needed, e.g., brand sell sheets, category presentations, media kit maintenance, etc.
  • Use insights to help tell the brand story.

III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field of study

Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years Marketing experience, preferably in advertising and/or content marketing experience

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Exceptional proposal writing and presentation skills with a background generating multi-platform, integrated programs
  • Close attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Proficient in PPT, Excel, Word, etc. Knowledge of InDesign and WordPress a plus
  • Experience in epicurean/lifestyle category a plus

Pay Range
Salary: $80,000 - $100,000
The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith's total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
