Summary

About the Position: Serve as Budget Technician (Office Automation) within the Defense Health Agency (DHA), Small Market and Stand-Alone Organization (SSO), Military Treatment Facility (MTF).

Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

  • This is a DOD Financial Management position. The incumbent must complete training and meet position requirements for certification at Level 1 within 2 years of appointment. Failure to obtain and maintain certification may result in adverse action.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes assisting with managing the budgetary and administrative aspects of temporary duty travel (TDY); utilizing a travel system to input and route travel authorizations and vouchers; and identifying and correcting errors related to budgetary accounting codes, dollar amounts and compliance with regulations and procedures.
