Building Maintenance HVAC Technician

Job Overview- We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, including the ability to diagnose and repair various units efficiently. In addition to HVAC responsibilities, the technician will also be responsible for basic building maintenance tasks. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. Responsibilities- • Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC systems, including but not limited to rooftop units, chillers, boilers, comperssors and air handling units. • Perform preventative maintenance tasks on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity. • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system issues related to HVAC systems. • Conduct regular inspections of HVAC equipment to identify potential problems and address them promptly. • Maintain accurate records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance tasks performed. • Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure timely resolution of HVAC issues. • Assist with basic building maintenance tasks, such as plumbing repairs, lighting repairs, and general upkeep. • Respond to emergency service calls outside of regular business hours as needed. • Stay updated on industry advancements and best practices in HVAC technology and maintenance. • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing job duties. Qualifications • Proven experience as a Commercial HVAC Technician, with a minimum of 2 years in the field. • Comprehensive knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair techniques. • Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting HVAC electrical, mechanical, and control system issues. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members. • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. • Valid HVAC technician license or certification required. • Proficiency in using HVAC diagnostic tools and equipment. • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions. • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
