Job Description
Stable Kernel is a custom software and technology firm based in Atlanta, GA. Our in-house product teams partner with Fortune 500s to navigate the unknown – that space between an identified problem and a future-focused solution. We strategize, architect, design, develop and commercialize custom software that builds our clients’ businesses.Â
As a Stable Kernel Business Analyst, your primary goal is to effectively communicate our clients’ requirements to our development team and ensure these projects meet our clients’ business goals. Your special blend of technical knowledge, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills allow you to effectively work with our clients’ product owners to define the "why" and “how” behind some of their most innovative projects, including all aspects of building and support.Â
You will report to the Director of Client Engagement and work closely with our engineers, sales team, and other colleagues across the company.
Responsibilities include
- Developing software solutions for our clients, working equally well in a collaborative team environment and individually. Managing internal and external dependencies with partners and representing the Stable Kernel team when meeting with partners.
- Troubleshooting tickets/issues—understanding what's happening, isolating, and diagnosing the issue, finding and implementing scalable solutions to lower the support burden for the team over time.
- Creating, implementing, documenting, and improving processes, managing rollouts, communicating with internal and external help desks.
- Gathering detailed technical requirements, helping write user stories and acceptance criteria according to agile methodology
- Over time, becoming the functional/system subject-matter expert for the development team.
- Specifying designs, documents, codes, and testing computer programs with minimal direction while also providing direction of programming work to other business analysts and systems analysts.
- Using SQL and other statistical tools to identify trends, troubleshoot systems, and create reports.

Our ideal candidate has:
- Thrives in a hybrid environment
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology, or similar
- 2 to 4 years of experience as an analyst
- Experience working in a consulting or professional services organization
- Experience in technical business analysis in a related industry
- Advanced knowledge of programming languages like SQL and system integration solutions
- Exceptional communication skills related to facilitating the use of new software systems
- Ability to facilitate internal end-user proficiency
- Ability to keep up with IT advancements
Nice to Haves:
- Knowledge of relevant licensing and industry compliance regulations
- Ability to design and maintain efficient customer portal support and feedback channels
- Knowledge of data security and encryption
Minimum base salary: $85,000
