RESPONSIBILITIES • Analyze margins by job, department, and manufacturing location to support decision-making of senior leadership. • Calculate, verify, and maintain accurate margin-based sales commissions, ensuring timely payment and reporting. • Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations for executive review of business performance. • Gather, interpret, and present business data to identify trends, opportunities, and process improvements. • Evaluate accounting and financial processes to identify opportunities for process improvement in automation, efficiency, and accuracy. • Documenting workflows and procedures for consistency and compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and regulatory requirements. • Take ownership of issues, identify root causes, and drive effective resolution. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and enhance productivity. • Support project planning and execution in coordination with managers and stakeholders. • Assist the accounting team with complex reconciliations, audit support, and other accounting-related tasks as needed. QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience • At least 3 years in a related accounting, finance, or business analytics position. • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas, and VBA. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proven track record of turning data into actionable insights. • Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and analysis. • Familiarity with Crystal Reports or similar reporting/BI tools preferred. • Familiarity with ERP/Accounting Software (i.e., Sage or Microsoft Dynamics) is preferred. • Knowledge of the general ledger, GAAP, and financial reporting requirements. • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
