Business Analyst

We're seeking a Business Analyst who is motivated by variety, is seeking a challenging environment for professional growth, and is interested in supporting large information technology projects for one of our clients, who is one of the top 10 largest electric companies in the U.S., headquartered in New Jersey.

The Business Analyst will be working in the energy efficiency space for our utility client and will be required to coordinate system requirements with technical resources, project managers, and customers at various levels. Responsibilities will include analysis, change management, coordinating and tracking of information on high visibility and tightly scheduled large projects with customers and deadlines. The candidate will also be required to develop solutions that require depth of technical knowledge and understand through discussions with the technical team.

Location: This position is located in Newark, NJ. Qualified candidate must be in a commutable distance and able to go into the office as needed. This team typically goes into the office 2+ days a week.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate day-to-day operation of energy efficiency programs, including tracking, forecasting, and updating customer information records, and resolving customer issues.
• Assist in developing business cases, project plans, and estimates.
• Lead business requirements gathering workshops and document business requirements.
• Analyze current business processes and document process flows.
• Work with business stakeholders in developing business process flows.
• Utilize domain specific knowledge to work with business stakeholders to identify, specify and analyze business requirements and processes
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Research and develop emerging technologies, develop business cases and create pilot projects to test out new customer products and services prior to mass deployment.
• Coordinate with different teams to improve productivity on tasks/projects

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with four plus (4+) years of experience as a Business Analyst. May consider more years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
• Previous experience working as a Business Analyst in the energy efficiency area preferred
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Self-driven and have demonstrated the ability to work independently with minimum guidance
• Demonstrated multitasking ability, problem solving skills and a consistent record of on time delivery and customer service
• Strong analytical ability
• Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite
• Good understanding of technology platforms and ability to explain technical concepts to the business users in the context of business requirements.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00
